Guide: Change PIN on iPhone
Do you need to change the password on your iPhone to unlock it or change the PIN code for the SIM card? Here we show you how to do it - step by step.
Change password on iPhone
- Go to Settings
- Tryck pa Face ID and passcode or Touch ID and passcode
- Enter your current passcode
- Scroll down and tap Change passcode
- Enter your old code again.
- Enter a new six-digit code, or press Passcode options to select four-digit code or alphanumeric code
Remove passcode on iPhone
- Go to Settings
- Tryck pa Face ID and passcode or Touch ID and passcode
- Enter your current code
- Scroll down and tap Turn off passcode
- Confirm that you want to turn off the passcode
Change your SIM card PIN code
To change the PIN code for your SIM card:
- Open Settings
- Tryck pa Mobile network
- Enter into SIM PIN
- Tryck pa Change PIN
- Enter your current PIN code.
- Enter a new code and confirm it.
Please note If the SIM card PIN code has been entered incorrectly three times, you must use a PUK code from your mobile operator to unlock it.

What is the difference between passcode and PIN code?
The passcode is used to unlock your iPhone. The PIN is linked to the SIM card and is needed when you restart your phone or change SIM cards.
I have forgotten my password - what do I do?
If you have forgotten your iPhone passcode, you need to create a factory reset your iPhone using a computer. It is not possible to reset the passcode without erasing all data. If you have a backup, you can restore the phone afterwards.
What happens if I enter the wrong PIN code several times?
If you enter the wrong PIN code three times, the SIM card will be blocked. You will then need a PUK code to unlock it. You can usually find it on the plastic card the SIM card came with or by contacting your mobile operator.
Can I remove the PIN code from the SIM card?
Yes. Go to Settings > Mobile networks > SIM PIN and turn the feature off. You must first enter your current PIN code to turn it off.
