NOTE - New for Bank ID 2024
If you have a valid Swedish passport or national ID card from the Police and you have a phone with an NFC reader, it is easier to get a new Bank ID.
If you don't have this, or if your bank doesn't offer digital verification of ID documents, your bank can still help you get a BankID, but you may have to visit the bank.
Step-by-Step guide - how to change your bank ID
1. Install the BankID app
Start by downloading and installing the BankID app on your new device from the App Store or Google Play.
3. Log in to your internet bank
When you have logged into your internet bank, there should be an option where you create a new bank ID. See below short instructions from some common banks.
