Among the updates from the predecessor iPhone 13, we received the following:
Design and screen
- The iPhone 14 has largely the same design as the iPhone 13, but the iPhone 14 Pro models got Dynamic Island instead of the notch.
- The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus introduced a new larger 6,7-inch model, while the iPhone 13 Mini was removed.
- The same Super Retina XDR OLED display, but the iPhone 14 Pro got Always-On Display.
Performance and chip
- The iPhone 14 uses the A15 Bionic chip, the same as the iPhone 13 Pro, but with an extra GPU core for better graphics.
- The iPhone 14 Pro, on the other hand, received the new A16 Bionic chip.
camera
- The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus received an improved 12 MP main camera with a larger sensor and better low-light performance.
- The iPhone 14 Pro got a brand new 48 MP main camera with pixel binning.
- New Action Mode for more stabilized videos.
- Improved Front camera with autofocus.
Battery and charging
- Battery life improved slightly on the iPhone 14 compared to the iPhone 13.
- The iPhone 14 Plus offers longer battery life than the iPhone 14.
New functions
- Emergency calls via satellite to send messages in emergencies without a mobile network.
- Crash Detection that can detect car accidents and call the emergency services.
Operating System
- Launched with iOS 16, but iPhone 13 can also be updated to the same version
