We believe in circular economy

reNewed believes in a circular economy as we believe that today's consumer society is not sustainable for our planet. Over 95% of all mobile phones sold in Sweden can be reused. We strive to create a more sustainable development and future with responsible entrepreneurship.

Did you know that a reused mobile phone saves the equivalent of 30 kilos in CO₂ emissions compared to producing a new one and that the production of a single mobile phone gives rise to 86 kilos of waste before it is finished? A large part of it is mining waste that occurs when metals are mined.

Our history

After many years of experience working in the IT industry, they were concerned about the amount of discarded electronics products flooding the market. The IT and telecom industry, along with consumers, still had a "throw away" culture where thousands of tons of electronics were scrapped and wasted, every year. This saddened the founders of reNewed and became the starting point for founding a company that could help manage used electronics in a more sustainable way. 

2019 reNewed was founded

reNewed started by buying up old electronics from various companies. It became a win-win as re!Newed helped to protect the environment from electronic waste, while selling companies received payment for their old electrical products. 

2021 E-commerce renewed.se

reNewed launched its webshop renewed.se, which was primarily aimed at private consumers as demand for recycled mobile phones and electronic products continued to increase. 

reNewed quickly took a position in the market, as a safe and secure e-commerce, where there had previously been dissatisfaction among private consumers, due to companies that were difficult to reach or products that were not adapted for the Nordic market.

In addition to all reNewed mobile phones undergoing strict quality controls, we have a local presence (office, customer service and warehouse) in one place in Stockholm. In addition, reNewed has close collaborations with Nordic operators, authorized service partners and insurance companies.

In this way, a safe, qualitative and environmentally friendly process is ensured, from start to finish.
